This year will be the 23rd celebration of this day, a day when people all over the world unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV, and remember those who have died.
An estimated 33 million people in the world have the HIV virus and since 1981 more than 25,000,000 people have died from it.
You are encouraged to learn the facts about HIV and AIDS today. Check some out HERE.
After learning the facts, try to put yourself in their shoes. Read some stories about teens with HIV or AIDS. Here are the ones we have here at the library:
