Happy Birthday to Carolyn Mackler!

Good present for an author?  Read their books!  Here are the ones that we have by Carolyn Mackler!

The lives of four very different teenagers become entangled in ways that none of them could have imagined after a short stay at a Caribbean resort.

Happy birthday to Carolyn Mackler

Carolyn Mackler was born in Manhattan, but move to Greenwich Village when she was one, then later to Syracuse, New York, and finally to Brockport, New York, which where many of her novels are set. Mackler was always interested in writing, and at age four she created a newspaper with her best friend!  She recorded stories on a tape recorder and played them for her mother who wrote them down for her. She lived in Brockport until starting college in 1991. She went to Vassar College and got a degree in Art History. After college, Carolyn lived in Seattle, Washington for a little while before going back to New York City in December 1995. In 2003, she got married and now lives in an apartment in Manhattan.  She has a young son.

Celebrate her birthday today by checking out one of the books we have by her!
