Teen Book Review - The Faceless Ones

The Faceless Ones by Derek Landy - YA SFF LAN
This review is from Joshua, age 11.  Joshua says that this book is fiction, fantasy, science fiction, action/adventure, mystery, and magical.  (encompasses a lot!)  He gave it a 9/10. (Nearly perfect!) His favorite character was Tanith Low. Joshua said "I liked this book because it had constant action and adventure."  About the cover of the book Joshua had this to say, "IT did not explain anything." (It is pretty vague, isn't it?)  He said that she would would read more from this author.

Joshua received an extra raffle ticket in this week's Teen Summer Reading Raffle.  If you would like to get an extra ticket this week too, come by and fill out a book review form!

Your newest summer reads...July books! Part 5

Death Bringer by Derek Landy
The Necromancers no longer need Valkyrie to be their Death Bringer, and that's a good thing. The catch? They don't need her any more because they've found their Death Bringer already, the person who will dissolve the doors between life and death. And that's a very, very bad thing...

Between the Sea and Sky by Jaclyn Dolamore
Esmerine, a mermaid, grows close to her childhood playmate Alander, a winged man, when they join forces to find her sister Dosia, who has reportedly eloped with a human despite the sisters' vow to always keep the sea and its people first in their hearts.

Uglies: Shay's Story by Scott Westerfeld
A few months shy of her sixteenth birthday, when she will be transformed into a "pretty" whose only job is to have a great time, Shay befriends the Crims, a group of teens who refuse to take anything in society at face value.

Teen Book Review - Skulduggery Pleasant

Skullduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy - YA SFF LAN
This review is from Seamus, age 12.  Seamus says that this book is fantasy.  He gave it a 10/10.  (Wow Seamus, I'm glad you loved it!)  His favorite character was Skulduggery. (of course!)  He said "It had alot of action and magic and there was a skeleton with a gun, nothing gets better."  I don't think anyone's gonna disagree with you about that Seamus!  About the cover of the book he had this to say, "It didn't tell much, which is good."  Seamus said that he would read more from this author and his last words were "One of the best ever."  Who could resist a gun toting, fireball throwing, walking, talking skeleton?

Seamus received an extra raffle ticket in this week's Teen Summer Reading Raffle.  If you would like to get an extra ticket this week too, come by and fill out a book review form!
