It's your birthday, Shannon!

Happy birthday to Shannon Hale!

On her way to marry a prince she's never met, Princess Anidori is betrayed by her guards and her lady-in-waiting and must become a goose girl to survive until she can reveal her true identity and reclaim the crown that is rightfully hers. (I've read it, excellent!)
While attending a strict academy for potential princesses with the other girls from her mountain village, fourteen-year-old Miri discovers unexpected talents and connections to her homeland. (Read this years ago shortly after it was published, I remember liking it.)
Fifteen-year-old Dashti, sworn to obey her sixteen-year-old mistress, the Lady Saren, shares Saren's years of punishment locked in a tower, then brings her safely to the lands of her true love, where both must hide who they are as they work as kitchen maids. (Have read this one multiple times, absolutely my favorite Shannon Hale book.  LOVE IT.  Makes me want to read it again right now just typing about it!)
Miri returns to Asland and calls upon all of her knowledge of rhetoric and other useful lessons learned at the Princess Academy when she and the other girls face strong opposition while working for a new, fair charter. (Haven't read this one yet.  Feel like I should go back and read the first one, since I don't remember the plot very well.  On my To-Read List!)
