WHEW~ I told you it was a lot! Not to mention, I have EVEN MORE to offer you. We are going to need volunteers ages 12 and up to staff the summer reading desk in the library, every day, every hour that we are open. Volunteens at the summer reading desk will help children, young adults, and adults sign up for the summer reading program, log the books they have read, enter them in the weekly drawings (teens and adults) and give out the kids coupons. In your spare time at the desk you can read or make craft kits for future story times. Log 6 hours of community service at the library this summer doing this and you get a t-shirt, and an invite to the Summer Reading Volunteen Party on August 9th at 6:00pm. We'll eat pizza, listen to music, and probably play some games. I hope I see you there!
Well that's my info on the summer reading program. I hope you're getting excited, because I know I am. Don't forget the important date to remember is June 27th. That's the first day that you can start to sign up for the various programs and start participating in the reading program. Stop in the library and talk to me if you're interested in volunteering at the desk.
