Teen Book Review - A Walk to Remember

A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks - FIC SPA
This review is from Catherine, age 15.  Catherine says that this book is fiction, romance, and a "tear-jerker."  She gave it a 7.5/10. (Specific!) Her favorite character was Landon. (It's such a romance novel name, isn't it?)  Catherine said "This book is sweet and romantic.  It's heartfelt characters feel real and the story is a touching tear-jerker.  The only bad thing I would say is it's a little slow."  About the cover of the book Catherine had this to say, "It could be better.  The one I got was the movie characters, but the other cover is really cool." She said that she would absolutely would read more from this author and her last words were "The movie is totally different from the book.  So just because you hated the movie doesn't mean you'll hate the book."  (Good advice for ANY book to movie!)

Melanie received an extra raffle ticket in this week's Teen Summer Reading Raffle.  If you would like to get an extra ticket this week too, come by and fill out a book review form!

  1. John or Jeremy are also good names for a romantic story. As if someone made them only for that purpose. And yeah, movies are totally different from books, because sometimes the book may be slow and boring, but the movie might be amazing and vice-versa. Anyway, thanks for the review, I'm going to re-read "A Walk to Remember" (I have an autographed copy, Nicholas Sparks signed it for me when I met him in Miami).
