This time of year I really get into the mood to read some ghost stories, how about you? Here are the ones we have:
|
Sixteen-year-old Carmel, California teenager Suze Simon is a typical
high school student except for the fact that she is a "shifter" who can
mediate between the living and the dead, and she is in love with a ghost
from the nineteenth century. |
|
A Swedish teenager is assaulted and killed, but returns as a ghost to find his killer. |
|
When eleven-year-old Zack Jennings moves to Connecticut with his father
and new stepmother, they must deal with the ghosts left behind by a
terrible accident, as well as another kind of ghost from Zack's past. |
|
In the small town of Ondine, Louisiana, fourteen-year-old Iris uncovers
family secrets when she conjures up the ghost of a boy missing for
decades and decides to solve the mystery of his disappearance. |
|
Moving from Chicago to tiny Radisson, Georgia, awakens latent psychic
powers in sixteen-year-old Kendall, who finds herself communicating with
ghosts and forming a ragtag ghost hunting team to research and battle a
belligerent spirit that is trying to harm her father. |
|
Based on Henry James's "The Turn of the Screw," tells the story of Jamie
Atkinson's summer spent as a nanny in a small Rhode Island beach town,
where she begins to fear that the estate may be haunted, especially
after she learns of two deaths that occurred there the previous summer. |
|
Anya, embarrassed by her Russian immigrant family and self-conscious
about her body, has given up on fitting in at school but falling down a
well and making friends with the ghost there just may be worse. |
|
For three years, seventeen-year-old Cas Lowood has carried on his
father's work of dispatching the murderous dead, traveling with his
kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat, but everything
changes when he meets Anna, a girl unlike any ghost he has faced before. |
|
Teenaged Wendy, who has the power to help souls cross over to their
final destinations, falls in love with a ghost and discovers horrific,
dark forces in the afterlife. |
|
When sixteen-year-old Rinn, who has bipolar disorder, and her mother
move back to her mother's hometown in Ohio and settle in a house where
the previous owner hanged herself, Rinn discovers that both the town and
her mother have some uncomfortable secrets in their past and that the
ghost that supposedly haunts the school seems to be out for revenge. |
|
When misfit goth girl Scarlett accidentally kills herself and her
family, she at first is amused by being a ghost, but then she begins to
get lonely and bored. |
